Our ‘Friday Tea Reception on Using TED Talks in ELT’ workshop was successfully held on 16 March 2018. Before our guest speakers delivered their speeches, we gave a short introduction of our newest release, 21st Century Creative Thinking, Listening and Speaking with TED Talks.

The workshop consisted of two parts. In the first part, we had our first guest, Academic Project Manager for National Geographic Learning, Ms Kitty Zhang, to share with us on the 21st Century Skills and Learning in TED Talks. She talked about the situation of use of English in the world and explained why TED talks can fit in the 21st Century English learning.

In the second part of the workshop, we are honoured to have Mr Cheng Kwok Hung, Head of English Language and Literature, St Stephen’s College, to share with us his experience in using TED Talks in the English Language and Literature Classroom. He showed us some examples of TED Talks and explained how TED can help teachers in the English language classroom.

Thanks for Ms Kitty's sharing. Thanks for Mr. Cheng's sharing.
