With the objective to promote English reading, cultivate reading habits and enhance language proficiency of Hong Kong students, The Commercial Press (H.K.) Limited, Hong Kong Educational Publishing Company, Commercial Press (H.K.) Cyberbooks Limited and Athens Education jointly host “The 27th Annual Book Report Competition for Secondary School Students”.

English Section-Particulars and Recommended Book Lists

 

The recommended book lists are for reference only. Participants may choose books not specified in the book lists while the “BLACK CAT English Readers Award” and “Macmillan Readers Award” are only granted to the report that is on titles from the series of Black Cat English Readers and Macmillan Readers respectively.

 

To further nurture English reading culture among youths in five Chinese-speaking regions in Asia, an English extensive reading section will be launched this year. Awarded student of each region in both Chinese and English section will have the opportunity to become the representative to join the prize presentation ceremony and study tour held in Shanghai.
